Have you wonder the role of vehicle dynamics in autonomous driving and ADAS development and testing? In this short video, we show a demo comparison for an autonomous lane change scenario, where the same vehicle control system was applied to two vehicle dynamics models (low and high fidelity from Simcenter Amesim - modelled from a same car). It is shown that the high fidelity dynamics model is critical to study ADAS safety and comfort driving (as well as control parameters tuning), while these factors are hard to be observed from the low fidelity one.
