Next to imitation learning from data, we attempt to combine with advanced model-based and optimal control in order to achieve safety and optimal driving performance. The developments are being tested-validated extensively in both high fidelity models and physical platforms from Siemens.
The industrial PhD of Flavia is among one of them. She is tackling some very interesting research, and this nice Award apparently shows a concrete progress. The work will also be presented at ICML (International Conference on Machine Learning) next week in Baltimore.
